Don’t let the warm weather we’ve been having fool you. Winter’s right around the corner with cold temperatures, wet roads and snow and ice. Now’s the right time to check your tires for tread depth and wear. And also consider special winter tires for your vehicle.

Whether you need replacement tires or are thinking about winter tires (more on that just below), Schomp Honda has a great tire deal on until November 27th.

Purchase a set of four General tires and you could receive a General Tire Prepaid Mastercard® worth up to $90. To be eligible, the new Generals must be purchased from Schomp Honda and either picked up or installed by us by November 27th. You would submit a form online to receive your Mastercard direct from General (see their offers page).

Why Winter Tires Are Better for Cold Weather

Tire experts agree that driving in cold, wet, snowy and icy weather is much safer on specialized winter tires. Compounded with softer, flexible rubber they offer better traction. Their treads are deeper, so they grip better. Even on just cold pavement winter tires provide better control so that you can steer and brake better, reducing slides and skids.

Anyone who drives in bad weather likely has had that moment of panic when you lost control in a slide or skid. Winter tires may not totally protect you, but they offer a much higher level of control, with the ability to stop more efficiently and avoid collisions. Avoiding close encounters with curbs or other vehicles is always a good thing.

Great Tires, Great Incentive

General makes some excellent tires – both replacement and winter tires – and the Schomp Honda Tire Center has one that will fit your vehicle. That Mastercard with up to $90 cash would set you up pretty nicely for the holidays. Schedule your appointment at Schomp Honda or come in to see our selection of General tires before this special deal ends on November 27th.
