The awards keep rolling in for Honda vehicles with recent citations from Parents Magazine, the automotive review experts at Edmunds and The Drive.

To arrive at their “Best Cars for Families” Parents judges surveyed more than 150 SUVs, minivans, cars and trucks, including their electrified versions. They checked features offered, took test drives and considered how well they accommodated family use. Winners in 24 different segments were chosen and – no surprise to us at Schomp Honda – Honda vehicles won in five  of those categories:

 

 

• Honda Odyssey – Best 3-Row Minivan. “Solid design and family function,” including flexible middle-row seats, and more safety and tech features including voice-activated assistant and Cabin Talk PA system.
• Honda Passport – Best Mid-Size 5-Passenger SUV. The Passport “is a standout for its rugged but charming style, increased number of conveniences and enhanced capability in all models.” It has a wide rear seat, ample cargo room and all-wheel drive.

• Honda HR-V – Best Value SUV. “With thoughtful packaging and strong standard features, the Honda HR-V offers superb value without feeling like a compromise,” according to one of the Parents judges. 
• Honda Accord – Best Family Sedan. “Sedans still offer the smartest way to get premium features at a bargain price, and the Honda Accord exemplifies this nicely.” The Accord has a powerful engine, excellent technology and creature comforts. Best of all, it comes in a hybrid version.

Edmunds “Top Rated 2026” awards are made in 6 categories. The 2026 Honda Civic was named “Top Rated Car.” The judges loved its hybrid version, offering an EPA-estimated 49 mpg combined city/highway. “... the Civic Hybrid provides quick acceleration, roomy seating, and an upscale interior design that's nicer than what you'll find in the competition.”

The Honda Civic Hybrid was named “The Best Value of 2026” in The Drive Awards. The Civic “hits a sweet spot between quality, practical performance and affordability.” The judges called it “comfortable, clean-looking and more than competent for both daily driving and long trips.”
