There’s an old saying: “Good, better, best. Never let it rest, until the good is better and the better, best.” It’s kind of an old-fashioned way of saying what Honda is all about: making its vehicles, and the world, a better place.

Recently, this philosophy landed Honda on the Forbes’ 2025 Best Brands for Social Impact list. It nailed down the #25 spot on the list.

The Forbes’ 2025 Best Brands for Social Impact list is an annual survey, created in partnership with HundredX, a customer-insights company. The rankings are determined by a survey of 165,000 consumers who were asked to nominate brands they use and wanted to review on the basis of more than a dozen categories, among them quality, value, and customer service.

Overall brand values and trust, social stances, sustainability and community support all were targeted as key contributors to social impact. Through the survey, 4.4 million ratings were received and more than 3,900 unique brands identified. The final list was whittled down to the top 300. Honda’s position at #25 is a significant win.

Among the efforts that Honda has undertaken is what it calls “Triple Action to Zero.” This three-pronged push toward carbon neutrality, clean energy and resource circulation, which it describes as “utilizing 100% sustainable materials by reprocessing products back to raw materials and reusing those materials in the creation of new products.”

Honda quality has made it a winner in other ways, as well. In addition to its inclusion on the Forbes’ 2025 Best Brands for Social Impact list, Honda also shows up on Forbes’ 2025 lists of “Best Employers for New Grads” (#47), and “Best Employers for Engineers” (#16). Car and Driver named the Honda CR-V, Accord and Civic among its 2025 10Best Trucks and SUVs, making Honda the brand that has landed on that list more than any other.
