Family-Friendly Fourth of July Festivals and Fireworks This Weekend in South Denver

Fourth of July weekend is upon us, and there’s no better time to break out the BBQ, meet up with your south Denver community and have some fun. Grab the family, hit the road and take advantage of these family-friendly (and inexpensive!) 4th of July activities this weekend in Denver. Be sure to visit the new Schomp Honda campus at 1103 Plum Valley Lane, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129 throughout the weekend for more family-friendly fun, including a Saturday BBQ and incredible deals on new, used and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.

July Fourth Weekend Colorado Fireworks Displays

This one’s a given, but there are numerous fireworks displays taking place around Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Castle Rock, Parker and beyond. With the Colorado Rockies out of town this weekend, take advantage of your locale’s excellent fireworks displays, happening throughout the weekend. Here are times and dates for displays in the South Denver area.

  • Highlands Ranch: Monday 7/4 at 9:15pm – North of Town Center Drive near Sargent Chris Falkel Dr.
    * Highlands Ranch 4th of July Parking at Mountainview Community, St. Lukes and Christ Lutheran churches and Town Center garage.
  • Denver: Sunday 7/3 from 8-10pm – Civic Center Park
  • Littleton: Friday 7/1 at 9:30pm – Clement Park, 7306 W. Bowles Ave.; Monday 7/4 at 9:30pm – Baseball fields at Cornerstone Park
  • Englewood: Monday 7/4 at 9:30pm – Belleview and Cornerstone Parks – W. Belleview and S. Windermere
  • Parker: Monday 7/4 at 9:30pm – Salisbury Park, 11920 Motsenbocker Rd.
  • Castle Rock: Monday 7/4 at 9:30pm – Launced from Santa Fe Quary Mesa (just south of The Meadows) – No formal event, but visible from most parts of town.
  • Aurora: Monday 7/4 at 9pm – Lutz/Stengler Sports Complex – 58th and Oak St.

Fourth of July Denver Festivals

Predicating fireworks, most Colorado towns and municipalities will be holding free (or cheap) family festivals through the weekend. Here are the top festivals and details from our South Metro area.

  • Highlands Ranch: July 4th Parade, Run and Celebration at Town Center – Monday 7/4, 8am-4pm
    Join Schomp Honda and Children’s Hospital Colorado for the annual HRCA July 4th Parade, Run and Celebration at Town Center! Your weekend party begins with fun for the whole family, including a morning 5k, parade (with plenty of cool cars and candy!), hot dog eating contest, pet parade and much more.   • Denver: Civic Center Independence Eve Celebration – Sunday 7/3, 8-10pm
  • Littleton: Red, White and You Celebration – Friday 7/1, 5-10pm; Littleton Fourth of July Festival – Monday 7/4, 3-10pm
  • Englewood: Englewood Family Festival – Monday 7/4, 3-10pm
  • Parker: Let Freedom Sing! – Monday 7/4, 6-10pm
